Students entered the hallways of Hannum with excitement on May 4,2022. Not only was it Star Wars Day, but it was also Hannum's STEM Day. Students spent time in their classroom building popsicle houses, toothpick bridges, spaghtetti towers, marshmallow lunar landers, and much more. Each creation was a solution to a problem posed by the teacher. The students took on each tasks and became engineers for the day. The final products were amazing!
Students also joined Mrs. Paluch for a science experiment. Students created water fireworks, storms in a glass, and made colors move in milk using dish soap. They enjoyed the experiment so much, that many students exclaimed, "This is the best day ever!" Mr. Lazzarotto also did a science demonstation with dry ice. The students were in awe during the demonstration. One thing was made very clear that day, our students enjoy exploring their curiousity. Hannum is full of future engineers and scientists!
