This past Wednesday, February 16, families joined us at Hannum Elementary for our superhero themed math/P.E. night! Students showed that knowledge is the best superpower. Various stations were set up around the gym to put math and P.E. skills to the test. Parents worked with the children to complete activities such as building three dimensional figures out of toothpicks and Play-Doh, comparing numbers while playing Superhero Smash, completing a geometry slideshow on Google Slides, working on a multiplication color by number, and playing football and darts. It was a full house and everyone truly enjoyed themselves.
Families were able to visit any and all stations and when they finished, they were rewarded with superhero dog tags! This night was another opportunity for our families, students, and staff to engage together in the excitement of mathematics for enjoyment.
