This past Friday, Mrs. Hemminger and Mrs. Glikis put on the annual winter concert. The concert featured chorus, kindergarten, and first grade. Chorus began the concert by singing “The Star Spangled Banner.” They continued by singing four winter themed songs. Kindergarten and first graders each sang three winter themed songs.
Students not only learned the lyrics to the songs, but used props and learned multiple dance moves to accompany the lyrics. Mrs. Hemminger and Mrs. Glikis did an outstanding job guiding students through the songs. It was evident from their smiles, that they love putting on school concerts and adore hearing the students sing. Parents were beyond impressed with what their students were able to accomplish in a short amount of time. The concert is a wonderful way for the arts to come alive at Hannum Elementary.
