Cougar News Club Brings School Spirit and Stories to Life

The Cougar News Club is making waves this year, bringing together students with a passion for storytelling, media, and school spirit. Meeting once a week with our fourth grade teacher, Ms. Widmann this dedicated team of journalists, videographers, and hosts produces exciting videos that capture all the excitement of our school. From interviewing students and staff to covering the latest happenings, Cougar News Club has become a highly anticipated part of our school life.

Every two weeks, the Cougar News Club’s videos air, featuring conten and editing created entirely by students. Their segments range club highlights to fun features on favorite school subjects and spotlight interviews with students and staff members. The club’s student members work together as anchors, scriptwriters, camera operators, and editors, making each episode a true team effort.

Ms. Widmann and our Cougar News Club students would also like to personally thank the PTO for their donation of a green screen this year! This new addition has taken our videos to the next level, allowing the Cougar News Club to create even more amazing content. We appreciate your support!

The Cougar News Club is more than just a news team—it’s the voice of Covington!
