On Thursday August 24th, students participated in Cougar Camp. Cougar Camp consisted of going over our Cool Tools and the positive actions they support. These tools help students understand the power of words and sayings that will help us ensure a great school year. "Choosing Your Words Wisely" when speaking with peers and school staff. "Watching While Walking" to ensure that students are getting to where they need to go effectively along with "Straight as an Arrow" to ensure our students are following along in their class lines. "Lunch Crunchers" helped students understand what their responsibility and expectations for the lunch room are. "Quick, Quiet, and Clean" went over bathroom procedures. "Way to Play" went over how students are expected to act in the playground and "Super Sub Spirit" is how students are expected to act when a sub is present. The lessons also took place in the locations of where there Cool Tools will be used. Overall, it was a successful Camp that students enjoyed and also a great start to our school year!
