Welcome to D123 — Preparing today’s learner for tomorrow’s world.
Oak Lawn-Hometown District 123 is a dynamic and supportive environment that ignites lifelong learners who embrace diversity and contribute positively to our community and global society.
On Friday, February 6th, our kindergarten and first grade students celebrated a big moment — the 100th day of school!
The Ed Foundation granted 3D printers to elementary schools this year, and at Kolmar, we are excited to explore them more each day. This new technology opens the door to hands-on learning, creativity, and problem-solving for our students.
Kindergarten students at Kolmar have been busy learning all about farms in their CKLA unit—and they got a very special surprise visitor! Our school’s SRO, Officer Craig Zelhart, came to share something exciting: he actually owns a real farm called Wild Harts Farm!
On Tuesday, January 13, the district held its Board of Education meeting, where the Coyotes received well-deserved recognition. Earlier this school year, third- through fifth-grade students were invited to participate in a program called Coyotes That Care.
On Thursday, December 18th, Kolmar held its first assembly of the year, and it was definitely one to remember. This was not a typical assembly—instead of just sitting and listening, students got to be part of the action!
On Thursday, December 11, fourth-grade students traded their classrooms for dinosaur bones and ancient fossils during an exciting field trip to the Field Museum.
