Gincy and the Sonic Soldiers perform at Sward

Recently, Sward had a great crowd to support the music and mission of Gincy and the Sonic Soldiers. Gincy Hartin, a dad to 3rd Grade Sward Student, Geneva and 6th-grade OLHMS student Victoria, has been a dedicated member of the PTA and integral in the Anti-Bullying Committee.
Hartin’s band’s original music was performed sharing messages of love, kindness, acceptance, and unity.  As his one song quotes, “We Are All in This Together!”  5th-grade student, Jacie Strelow, sang a duet with Hartin, “Try Anything,” from the movie Zootopia and a solo, Bruno Mars, “Count on Me.”  Three boys from the Pillars Club Hartin sponsors also shared their ideas on what those themes mean to them.
Students, parents, friends, and family enjoyed the free show while watching a looped presentation of original artwork, pictures and inspiring quotes and a video presentation of current students answering questions on the theme of friendship, anti-bullying, and support.
