Once again, this year, the Oak Lawn-Hometown School District curriculum will include Erin’s Law, a state mandated, age-appropriate sexual abuse and assault awareness and prevention education.
Erin’s Law requires schools to educate students on safe touches and unsafe touches; safe secrets and unsafe secrets; and how to “get away and tell today.” Children will also learn how to recognize child sexual abuse, reduce their vulnerability, and encourage them to report abuse.
Join us for a parent information evening about Erin’s Law and the program each District 123 student will take part in during the month of September.
