The first graders at Kolmar took part in their first Grinch Day celebration right before the holiday break on Wednesday, December 21st. Throughout that week, students worked hard in their literacy and math centers to write about “how to make the Grinch grin”, solve Grinch number stories, and matching Cindy Lou Who rhyming words.
On Grinch Day, parent volunteers came in to run eight different centers, including Grinch toss, pin the heart on the Grinch, and Grinch bingo. The fun didn’t stop there! Later in the day, students used their Chromebooks to build their own Who-Ville through a STEM website called Build with Chrome. Everyone had a great time celebrating the Grinch!
