A group of students at OLHMS is taking action to help make the world around them a little better. The Service Learning Action Team meets during normal PBIS days to channel their energy into service projects.

“The group is a way for us to show these students that they can make a positive difference right here locally. Whether at the school, for local shelters and food pantries or at home,” said Ms. Harrington.

Most recently the group made blankets for local shelters. In the past, they have planted tulips around Oak Lawn-Hometown Middle School, and made Kindness Rocks.
