Hometown Honors Hard Working Students

The Hornet Honors Breakfast

The Hornet Honors Breakfast

When 5th-grade teacher, Lisa Vines, proposed Hometown School honor students that are consistently doing what is expected and have a great work ethic the Hornet Honors Breakfast was created.

“Often times, educators focus on the struggling student and those who lack motivation. It’s important, however, to also acknowledge and honor those who are consistently doing the right thing. At Hometown School, we are proud that so many of our students do have a strong work ethic, and we want those students to know that it does not go unnoticed,” said Principal Katy Spreitzer.

On Thursday, November 16th, teachers and families came together to honor one student from each classroom who consistently attends school, works hard, and actively participates in his/ her learning. It was a beautiful tribute to our star students! Hometown School will host a Hornet Honors Breakfast at the end of each trimester.
