Hometown Elementary hosted some Halloween fun last week as they decorated pumpkins together. Nearly 40 Hometown families came out to the school, pumpkins in tow, to show off their creative flair using paint and other arts and crafts tools. The evening was an opportunity for families to gather at the school as a community and join together in a fun activity.
“It was a fun event for families because they were able to create something together while also enjoying one another’s company. One thing I’ve learned to appreciate over the last few years is our parents’ unwavering interest in spending time with their children. In a day and age when families are generally over-scheduled, it’s truly admirable,” said Principal of Hometown Kathleen Spreitzer.
This was the first year for the decorating event, due to the high interest Principal Kathleen Spreitzer hopes to host it again next year.
