This week, District 123 invited every substitute teacher in the district to a luncheon to thank them for all they do for our schools. More than 30 substitute teachers enjoyed an afternoon together at Oak Lawn-Hometown Middle school of great food from Buona Beef, and conversation on how to make the Substitute teacher program even better.
“In School District 123 we greatly value people and relationships. Recognizing our substitute teaching staff and providing them the opportunity for voice is imperative to help us improve our systemic practices. We believe that this opportunity has offered us a chance to say thank you and will ultimately help us create new ways to more effectively engage our substitute teachers,” said Superintendent of District 123 Dr. Paul Enderle.
