Today marks the last day of school for Bernice Rolniak, Food Service Director at OLHMS, who is retiring after 12 years at Oak Lawn Hometown District 123.
“I am so happy that I got to be a part of the District my kids were a part of, because at the end of the day I do this for the kids, it’s all about them. I have had such an amazing team here and I have loved working along side them every day, I will miss them but I am looking forward to the next chapter,” she said.
“No one stands alone who has friends and I will never stand alone because I have you,” was what Bernie said to her staff as they wrapped up the final lunch period at Oak Lawn Hometown Middle School. Although she will miss her staff, and the friends she has made along the way Rolniak is excited for the next chapter.
