District 123 announces principal appointment for Sward School

The Oak Lawn-Hometown School District 123 Board of Education approved on Feb. 27 the appointment of Mrs. Candice Kramer as the principal of Sward School. Mrs. Kramer will begin her new role in District 123 on July 1, 2017.

Mrs. Kramer brings a great deal of experience as an educator and school leader to Oak Lawn-Hometown School District 123. Over the past 3 years she has served as the Assistant Superintendent for Teaching and Learning in Pleasantdale School District 107 in Burr Ridge.  Her current role in Burr Ridge was preceded by experiences as Curriculum Director in Burbank School District 111, an assistant principalship at Unity Junior High School and Program Supervisor of the Reading and Language Arts Department in Cicero School District 99, where she began career as a teacher.  She earned her Bachelor’s degree from Elmhurst College and her Master’s degree’s from Aurora University.

Mrs. Kramer will officially begin her new position July 1, 2017.  District 123 is currently in the process of planning meet and greet opportunities with students, staff, and parents this spring.
